  • Elia Viviani, Vincenzo Nibali, and Lorenzo Suding will collaborate in the development of new models

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 1 December 2025 – Ducati is proud to announce the launch of a project dedicated to the development, production, and distribution of a new and broader range of high-performance bicycles. This decision confirms and strengthens the path taken in 2018, when the Borgo Panigale company entered the e-Bike world, driven by a vision that unites cycling and motorcycling—two parallel universes sharing terrain, riding dynamics, and a passion for speed, competition, and freedom.

This project is born in collaboration with Diamant S.r.l., a company within Gruppo Zecchetto, an Italian organization that brings together leading brands in cycling footwear (DMT), technical apparel (Alè Cycling), and carbon and composite component manufacturing (Diamant Compositi).

The new high-performance bicycle range, which will include road bikes, gravel bikes, and pedal-assist mountain bikes, will be unveiled starting March 2026, offering a wider selection of models inspired by Ducati's principles of style, sophistication, and performance. The project also includes a line of accessories and technical apparel dedicated to each specialty, specifically designed for the new Ducati bicycles.

The development of the range leverages the experience and expertise of Italian cycling champions such as Elia Viviani, Vincenzo Nibali, and Lorenzo Suding.

Elia Viviani, one of the most successful and versatile Italian sprinters of his generation, boasts over 90 professional road victories and an extraordinary track career crowned by Olympic gold in Rio 2016 and the world title in the elimination race in Santiago 2025. With his technical vision and experience, he will oversee all development phases as Project consultant.

Elia Viviani: “After concluding my professional career, I was looking for a project that could excite me and represent a new challenge. Supporting the Cycling Project is a great source of pride for me. The long-term goal is to bring Ducati's sporting soul into cycling, creating bicycles that embody the brand's values and the essence of the sport.”

Vincenzo Nibali, one of the greatest champions of modern cycling, is among the few athletes to have won all three Grand Tours—Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España—and boasts victories in Monument Classics such as Milan-Sanremo and Giro di Lombardia. Drawing on his experience and deep knowledge of competitive cycling, he will support Viviani in developing the road range and related sports projects, bringing his vision of performance and competitive spirit to the initiative.

Vincenzo Nibali“I'm thrilled to be part of this ambitious project. I've always had a great passion for motorsport, and Ducati has always been a benchmark for performance, innovation, and design. Contributing to the growth of such an iconic brand in the cycling world is truly an honor.”

For the off-road segment, Ducati will collaborate with various athletes, including Lorenzo Suding, multiple Italian Downhill Champion and a leading figure in the mountain bike sector, who will support the evolution of the e-MTB range.

Claudio Domenicali, CEO Ducati Motor Holding“With this new project, we aim to strengthen our presence in the cycling sector. The collaboration with Diamant, together with the contribution of Italian cycling champions such as Vincenzo Nibali, Elia Viviani, and Lorenzo Suding, allows us to develop high-performance bicycles designed to offer enthusiasts a level of quality and excitement comparable to that of our motorcycles. This step comes after a journey built with Thok, whom I wish to thank for the valuable work done together over the years.”

Philippe Zecchetto, CEO Diamant Srl: “We are proud to stand alongside Ducati in this new chapter dedicated to the world of bicycles. The collaboration between our companies is rooted in shared values and the pursuit of excellence. Putting our cycling expertise and structure at the service of a brand like Ducati represents an extraordinary opportunity to create products that embody outstanding performance and unique style.”

Enthusiasts will be able to purchase the new Ducati bicycles both at selected dealers within the Borgo Panigale company's sales network and at specialised cycling retailers.
